• Dover Castle
One of the most famous castles in the country boasting over 2,OOO years of history from the Romans to World War II. You can even visit the secret wartime tunnels deep in the chalk cliffs where Sir Winston Churchill planned the evacuation of Dunkirk.
• Walmer Castle and Gardens
Discover the Tudor Castle and its beautiful gardens, including the Queen Mother’s Garden. Both castles have special programmes for children throughout the summer.
Manston Spitfire & Hurricane museum – a spectacular walk through World War 2, is closer to home, and the beautiful Shell Grotto is within walking distance. |

About 1/2 hour away from the hotel it's set in 70 acres of ancient parkland and is home to the largest captive gorilla breeding group in the world. Also there are elephants, tigers, rare monkeys and wolves. Younger children would enjoy 'Wildwood' – we've a safari there. Closer to the hotel is a viking adventure park, ten pin bowling and miniature golf. |
